when God ran

there was a girl. she graduated from college and university with excellent results. results that were far above employers' expectations. income wasn't a problem to her. she had really nice friends and was attached to a great fiance. her family was close-knitted and she had the life everyone wld ever dream for.

one day she wanted to migrate and get married. her parents agreed but were sad that their baby girl was leaving the family and the country. communication would be a problem. but they had to relent because it was her choice of route in her life. and they blessed her with money.

she headed off to paris, london, travelled around europe with her husband. they had loads of fun, ate every delicacy they cld get their hands on. had the best service of the best hotel. life was a luxury. her parents often called but she always rejected them. she rather play somemore than listen to the voice of her concerned parents. they were partying all day long and neither of them worked. her husband soon became addicted to alcohol and he often stayed away late at night and came home drunk.

the fun was short-lived. very quickly, her husband turned from a charming prince to an un-shavened drunkard. she was heavily in debt and could not even pay for her hotel rent. then, bankruptcy was declared upon them. her husband called for a divorce and she was left alone to carry her burdens. it was a year already. and she hadn't heard from her parents. she thought they had probably forgotten about her already.

she had no face to return back home as she fell terribly from a brilliant graduate to a worthless person now. she knew her parents would despise her and disown her for this big sin she committed against them. she wasn't being filial and obedient. she should have stayed under the care of her parents. it wld be so wrong to go home now. besides she didn't have the money to go home.

after a year or so, she finally managed to earn enough money to buy an air ticket home. she knew she had to face her family and her worried-stricken parents sooner or later. she was prepared for the worst. she walked towards her semi-d and she saw her dad standing at the gate. they exchanged glances for a minute and everything seemed to halt. then her dad ran as fast as he could towards her. he hugged her and their tears flowed like never before. she cried and apologised but all her dad kept saying was "it's good that ur back"

he led her into the house and her mom cried and hugged her too. her siblings weren't happy that she left and yet their parents forgave her. but her dad said "we should rejoice because ur sister was lost but now she's found!"

==================================================

God is like the father who waits. we always run from his protection because we think we can do things on our own. but, we can only accomplish these big things with His strength. yet, when we run from Him, He always waits for us and forgives us. He is always loving, always forgiving, always patient, always merciful. He can't wait for us to go back to Him. God is like the father who ran to his daughter. He loves us so much that He will run towards us when we finally go back to Him.

sometimes i feel i'm so unworthy of God's love. in all the things i've done, i've really let Him down countless of times. but He always forgives. He always loves, with the perfect love anyone could ever give, dying on the cross for our sins. i can't repay Him with anything. all i can do is to honor Him in everything i do. yet when i fail, He forgives me.

that perfect love, when God ran.
