YOU are the reason i live

never.

just had some disagreements with my parents. not a quarrel. just smth that i totally disagreed with them. and i still don't buy it. but we're cool.

perhaps when i grow older, become a mom myself and have teenage kids, i'll understand. maybe. because just yet, i don't understand their point of view. no matter how i put myself in their shoes i don't see why i'm wrong. maybe they just don't understand. maybe i just don't understand.

to me, there's just no such thing as total transparency. i can't bring myself to say things the top of my head because i can't bring myself to argue with my parents. the fact that i love them and want to honour them and obey them doesn't give me a reason to argue back or say things that may hurt them. perhaps it's just foolish filial piety. they think i'm fine. parents always think their children are fine.

"You only have to concentrate on ur studies what! that's the only thing u do!"

yea. and what about cell? what about church committments? what about the will of God?

it's not wrong to say i only have my studies to concentrate on. i told weibin that same sentence too. other ppl have to worry about money, about family problems, about everything else. me, i only have my studies to bother.

"ur goal in life should be to do well in ur studies"
yea right. how well is well? and what about those who don't? it's all so relative. definitely, i believe that we should excel in everything that God calls us to do. but to perform well and excellent in everything? no one is perfect.

of coz, i know who will and who has told me that same sentence too.
"ya lo. u only got ur studies to be concerned of what. what else is there?"

if only ppl were more matured and understanding.
