worship

just some thoughts i'd better blog before i forget.

dad has always been watching the cityharvest service online and it's just one of those days that i happened to be free to watch the worship service. i always wondered whether the worship service was for real. i was always skeptical about how easily ppl raised their hands to worship and the whole church jumps up and down for every praise song. i wondered whether all they did was an act or they really loved God so much.

well, i got my ans. haha. last week, regina brought friends to church. they were alr christians. however, the way the praised and worshiped God was far far far more different than the way youth alive worshipped God. they danced, raised their hands and i could see that hunger and that love for God that they just wanted to praise and worship God that much. it was from the depths of their heart.

now, i've understood that the worship is for real. i've been to city harvest before and i know the worship is real. ppl are so willing to lift up their hands and worship God because the presence of God lingers there and the annointing is strong. the atmosphere is just worshipful. worship is there because the musicians, singers all take worship very seriously. they sing almost as if they are in a concert every week. they really prepare their best for the worship service and they never have blunders. they put their effort in it.

of coz u can say that their choir is so huge and their band is so big. even if one plays out of tune or one doesn't sing as well, no one can hear the difference. but the difference is there! the worship is marvellous and almost perfect. i can't help but say that it's because of the devotion and the effort the ministry ppl put in that can cause such an atmosphere of worship. like what ps cat shared during cet last sun: worship leaders need to lead the ppl into worship. their lives have to be right before God before their annointing can pour out into the lives of the ppl.

i never understood y youth allive's worship isnt' getting any better. maybe it's time the leaders need to step up and worship God with all their hearts before the members can follow. if the ministry ppl aren't able to lead us into worship, everyone else will have to press in.

worship is a concert for God, of which He is the only audience.
