serving

i thought about serving in ministry today. i think that serving has become a norm, something that everyone has to do in church. a church job maybe?

hmmm... sometimes i think: is serving in ministry something that u want to do in church to help out or is it something God wants u to use ur talents for. both are similar, yet contrasting because the latter is God-prompting.

i can join all the ministries i want and ultimately burn myself out. i can also be prompted by God to join ministries and burn myself out by forgetting that God is the one who gives me the strength and the talents to serve in His ministry. either way, God is still the one who gives u the strength to serve Him. unless God doesn't give u the strength to serve Him when it isn't His will for u to serve Him in that area? hmmm... haha. i'm quite confused.

just read rena's blog. it's really no use living in sadness all the time. and of coz, everything happens for a reason. everyone has to go through the rough patch of life, maybe losing a loved one on the way. in life's journey, u'll meet many people along the way. some people u meet get to walk with u together for a long journey, while others maybe shorter. when u've come to a cross-road or a T-junction in life, that's when certain people leave ur life, to move on with their lives. people cannot walk with u together on ur journey else they would have to make a detour later on in ur life to get on with theirs, and they could very much miss out on alot of things while making that detour. i like the chinese phrase "tian1 xia4 wu2 bu4 san4 zhi1 yan2 xi2". people will always come and go and it's part and parcel of life. and the best thing about life? that's when u've found the right person to walk u through ur life, until it's the end of the road (=

when something ends, something begins (=
